Social TV is growing to be a major issue in the connected entertainment industry. International broadcasters, OTT and IPTV providers are encouraging viewers to be more interactive through social media platforms. 2011 has seen the establishment of major social TV apps and software, with Consumer Electronic companies also introducing the next generation of Smart TV.
Now in its 8th Year the IP&TV World Forum has established itself as The event in Connected Entertainment. It has shifted its focus increasingly away from traditional IPTV onto multiscreen and multiplatform services. Social TV is a central part of this year’s forum and so warrants a conference focused exclusively on this topic.
Key companies driving the Social TV revolution will be represented in attendance at the inaugural Social TV World Summit, including Shazam, MTV, NBC Universal and AKQA.
